9A. Functions of Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (Executive Branch, Federal Government) of Nepal

Functions of The (Federal/Central) Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation of Nepal:

This is the 11th Post on Function of Executive Government of Nepal Series and 10th ministry of which functions has been listed in Both English and Nepali Language for your reference. 

The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation is the central agency of the Government of Nepal dealing with Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation affairs of Nepal. There are 24 functions listed in the Government of Nepal (Work Division) Regulation 2074 as per Article 82 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal  for this Ministry which is given below:

1. Land policy, land use policy, laws, standards and regulation; (१. भूमि नीति, भू-उपयोग नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड र नियमन; )

2. Mapping, recording of international borders; (२.अन्तराष्ट्रिय सीमाको नक्साङ्कन, अभिलेख; )

3. Construction, maintenance and record management of border posts; (३.सीमा स्तम्भहरुको निर्माण, मर्मत सम्भार तथा अभिलेख व्यवस्थापन; )

4. Mapping of land use, capacity and suitability; (४. भूमिको उपयोग, क्षमता र उपयुक्तताको नक्साङ्कन;  )

5. Resettlement policies, laws, standards and regulations; (५. पुनर्वाससम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड र नियमन;  )

6. National records management of private, government, guthi, community and public lands; (६. निजी, सरकारी, गुठी, सामुदायिक तथा सार्वजनिक जग्गाको राष्ट्रिय अभिलेख व्यवस्थापन; )

7. Protection of government, public, Guthi, community and private lands; (७. सरकारी, सार्वजनिक, गुठी, सामुदायिक तथा पर्ती जग्गाको संरक्षण; )

8. land reform and management; (८. भूमिसुधार तथा व्यवस्थापन;  )

9. National Geographic Information System and Geographic Information Infrastructure; (९. राष्ट्रिय भू-सूचना प्रणाली र भौगोलिक सूचना पूर्वाधार;  )

10. Policies and standards related to compensation of landless, Dalit, Mukta Kamaiya, Haliya, Harwa, Charwa; (१०. भूमिहीन, दलित, मुक्तकमैया, हलिया, हरवा, चरवाको पुरर्स्थापना सम्बन्धी नीति र मापदण्ड;  )

11. Criteria for transfer of land rights, (११. जग्गाको हक हस्तान्तरण सम्बन्धी मापदण्ड,  )

18. Management, study, research and monitoring of national statistics on cooperatives; (१८. सहकारीसम्बन्धी राष्ट्रिय तथ्याङ्क व्यवस्थापन, अध्ययन, अनुसन्धान र अनुगमन; )

19. Liaison and inter-provincial coordination with national cooperative organizations; (१९. सहकारीसम्बन्धी राष्ट्रिय संघ संस्थासँग सम्बन्ध र अन्तर प्रादेशिक समन्वय; )

20. Standards and regulations regarding savings and credit operations through cooperatives; (२०. सहकारीमार्फत हुने बचत तथा ऋण परिचालनसम्बन्धी मापदण्ड र नियमन; )

21. Poverty alleviation and related government agencies; (२१. गरिबी निवारण र सोसँग सम्बन्धित सरकारी निकायहरु; )

22. Treaties, agreements, conventions, contacts and coordination with national international organizations related to the Ministry; (२२. मन्त्रालयसम्बन्धी राष्ट्रिय अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय संघसंस्थासँग सन्धि, सम्झौता, अभिसन्धि, सम्पर्क र समन्वय; )

23. Management and regulation of public institutions, authorities, establishments, companies etc. related to the Ministry; (२३. मन्त्रालयसम्बन्धी सार्वजनिक संस्थान, प्राधिकरण, प्रतिष्ठान, कम्पनी आदिको संञ्चालन र नियमन; )

24. Operation of survey group of Nepal Engineering Service. (२४. नेपाल इन्जिनियरिङ्ग सेवाको सर्भे समूहको संञ्चालन ।  )
