 Functions of The (Federal/Central) Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Nepal:

This is the 17th Post on Function of Executive Government of Nepal Series and 16th ministry of which functions has been listed in Both English and Nepali Language for your reference. 

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is the central agency of the Government of Nepal for drafting policies and implementing them on the sector of education, science and technology. There are 34 functions listed in the Government of Nepal (Work Division) Regulation 2074 as per Article 82 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal  for this Ministry which is given below:

1. Education policies, laws, standards and regulations; (१. शिक्षासम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड र नियमन;  )

2. Central University related policies, laws and standards; (२. केन्द्रीय विश्वविद्यालयसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून र मापदण्ड; )

4. Central Library Policy, Law and Management; (४. केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालयसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून र व्यवस्थापन;  )

5. Human Resource Need Projection, National Education Plan and Human Resource Development Plan; (५. मानव संसाधन आवश्यकता प्रक्षेपण, राष्ट्रिय शैक्षिक योजना एवं मानवस्रोत विकास योजना;  )

6. National Curriculum Framework for School Level, Curriculum of Core Subjects, Model Textbooks and Regulations; (६. विद्यालय तहको राष्ट्रिय पाठ्यक्रम प्रारूप, मूल विषयको पाठ्यक्रम, नमुना पाठ्यपुस्तक र नियमन;  )

30. nuclear energy policies, laws, standards, implementation and regulation; (३०. आणविक ऊर्जासम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड, कार्यान्वयन र नियमन;  )

31. Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, National Academy of Legal Sciences, Planetarium, Observatory and Science Museum; (३१. नेपाल विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठान, राष्ट्रिय विधि विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठान, प्लानेटेरियम, वेधशाला र विज्ञान सङ्ग्रहालय;  )
