Functions of The (Federal/Central) Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Nepal:

This is the 7th Post on Function of Executive Government of Nepal Series and 6th ministry of which functions has been listed in Both English and Nepali Language for your reference.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security is the central agency of the Government of Nepal for making labour laws and policies regarding employment and social security and regulating their implementation. There are 15 functions listed in the Government of Nepal (Work Division) Regulation 2074 as per Article 82 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal for this Ministry which is given below:

1. Labour and employment policies, laws, standards and regulations; (१. श्रम तथा रोजगारसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड र नियमन; )

2. Foreign employment policies, laws, standards, management and regulation; (२. वैदेशिक रोजगारसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड, व्यवस्थापन र नियमन; )

3. Policies, laws, standards and regulations related to labor and workers' social security and operation of social security funds; (३. श्रमिक तथा कामदारको सामाजिक सुरक्षा र सामाजिक सुरक्षा कोष सञ्चालनसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून, मापदण्ड र नियमन; )

4. Industrial dispute resolution; (४. औद्योगिक विवाद समाधान; )

5. Employment statistics, studies and research; (५. रोजगारसम्बन्धी तथ्याङ्क, अध्ययन र अनुसन्धान; )

6. Labor and Occupational Health Safety Inspection and Labor Relations Commission; (६. श्रम तथा व्यवसायजन्य स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा निरीक्षण र श्रम सम्बन्धसम्बन्धी आयोग; )

15. Operation and regulation of public institutions, authorities, committees, foundations, companies etc. related to the ministry. (१५. मन्त्रालयसम्बन्धी सार्वजनिक संस्थान, प्राधिकरण, समिति, प्रतिष्ठान, कम्पनी आदिको सञ्चालन र नियमन । )
