Functions of The (Federal/Central) Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal:

This is the 23rd and final Post on Function of Executive Government of Nepal Series and 22nd Ministry of which functions has been listed in Both English and Nepali Language for your reference. 

The Ministry of Health and Population is responsible for overall policy formulation, planning, organization and coordination of the health sector at national, province, district and community levels. The goal of MoHP is to improve the health status of all people living in the country through effective and efficient policy formulation, resource mobilization, monitoring and regulation of delivery of health services by different health institutions. There are 35 functions listed in the Government of Nepal (Work Division) Regulation 2074 as per Article 82 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal  for this Ministry which is given below:

1. Health and nutrition policies, laws and standards; (१. स्वास्थ्य तथा पोषणसम्बन्धी नीति, कानून र मापदण्ड;  )

2. Promotional, remedial, remedial, curative, restorative and preventive health policies, laws and standards at the national level; (२. राष्ट्रियस्तरमा प्रवर्द्धनात्मक, प्रतिकारात्मक, प्रतिकारात्मक, उपचारात्मक, पुनर्स्थापनात्मक र निवारणसम्बन्धी स्वास्थ्य नीति, कानून र मापदण्ड;  )
